After Hours

We encourage you to refer to our website first, when practical, before calling the office.

If you still have concerns that cannot wait until the next day, you may call our regular office number, (316)-685-5271 and follow the prompts to speak with a nurse who can address your concerns. The nurse will fax us information about the patient in the morning.

Appointments

To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits. If you are late for your appointment, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer you an appointment on another day. Out of courtesy to our other patients, we may ask you to reschedule your appointment. We make computer generated courtesy phone calls to remind you of your appointment. Please make sure you give us the phone number on which you want to receive these reminder calls.

We know your time is valuable. Despite our best efforts, we will sometimes run late. We will keep you informed so that you have the option of rescheduling your appointment

Sick Child Visits

We make every effort to schedule appointments for sick children on the day that you call us. Please call our office ahead of time, as early in the day as possible, so we can minimize the time that you will spend waiting. If you have a medical emergency during office hours, we will do our best to see your child immediately or refer you to the appropriate facility. If you would like us to see more than one child, please schedule both of them when you make the appointment.

Walk-Ins

In order to provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits.

We will try to accommodate patients who walk in, but they may be asked to return later when time allows.

Emergencies

Call 911 in an emergency. An emergency is any problem which is life-threatening or could lead to loss of limb or eyesight or other serious problem. Some examples are respiratory problems, seizures bleeding, head injury, loss of consciousness or serious falls.

In the case of less serious problems (such as lacerations, possible broken bones, sprains, most fevers), please call our office first for advice. We will help you decide if and where your child needs to be seen.

Well Child Visits

We offer Well Baby Care and Health Maintenance Visits for all ages from newborns through young adults. These visits include immunizations and screening tests. We complete the forms needed for daycare, preschool, school, camp, foreign exchange programs, preoperative clearance, Special Olympics, and sports. Since we see children through young adulthood, we do physicals and recommend and give the appropriate shots for students going to college as well as the younger Well Child Visits.

We appreciate it when parents schedule physical exams in advance. If they have not been planned ahead and are needed acutely, we try to make Physical Exams available as soon as possible. Sports forms can also be filled out during regular physical examinations.

Our suggested schedule for Well Child Visits is based on recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics: Newborn, 3-5 days, 2 Weeks, 2 Months, 4 Months, 6 Months, 9 Months, 12 Months, 15 Months, 18 Months, 2 Years, 2 1/2 years, and 3 Years. After the 3 year old checkup we see your child annually for a Physical exam.

We accept most insurance carriers. Please have your card with you at the time of your visit.

You are responsible for the co-pay at the time of the visit. You are also responsible for paying fees until you have met your deductible. If we are not a provider for your insurance, if you are not insured or if we do not file with your insurance company, you are responsible for the entire charge at the time of service.
